Pricing (5-Year Protection Period)
In Japan, broad category descriptions (e.g., “sporting goods”) are permitted for designated goods and services.
By selecting categories approved by the Japan Patent Office, the examination period can be shortened by approximately six months.
Additional Fees:
From the 4th class onward, an additional fee of ¥65,800 per class applies.
Registration fees are charged after approval is granted (approximately 6–12 months after filing).
No international wire transfer fees apply, as payment is made to a domestic Japanese bank account.
Possible Additional Costs:}
・If an Office Action is issued by the Japan Patent Office:
Response letter: ¥66,000
Amendment filing: up to ¥33,000
・If you request shipment of the trademark registration certificate:

Payments are made to a domestic Japanese bank account. Please note that any local bank transfer fees are your responsibility.
